Mrs. Satharat Wongsupakphan (a.k.a. Sarah Kajonborrirak)
Born with nobility, Sarah’s original family name is Rattanaprapha, which was bestowed upon her family by King Rama V on her grandfather’s time.
Police Captain Saeng Rattanaprapha is a respectable and reputable policeman in the North-East part of Thailand, where he performed outstandingly in the protection of civilians and law-enforcement.
Later he was bestowed upon the title of “Luang Kajonborrirak”, the second in the Thai nobility range, which means “Family of Protectors”, for his merits.
Sarah is the founder of Thai Heritage Spa Co., Ltd., Thai Heritage Spa School and Sivalai Spa Co., Ltd.
With her degrees in Fitness & Nutrition and Hotel Management, and her continuing studies and research in many fitness and spa institutes in the USA and Europe, Sarah has broadened her experience in the health industry for more than 15 years.
She owned the very first successful fitness spa in Chiang Mai at the age of 23 and she used to be a guest instructor in an aerobics training course at a government physical college in 1995.
Sarah worked as health club & spa manager in leading hotels in Bangkok. Now she is running her own spa consulting company, specialized in creating unique spa concepts from project to project.
Sarah was part of the host committee that organized the Asian Spa Summit 2000 in Phuket. She was requested by the Occupational Skill Standard Division of the Ministry of Labor & Social Welfare to implement the first National Career Standard for Thai massage therapists in year 2000.
She has been granted an award as an Executive Woman of the Year 2003 for the Best Innovative Organization from the Foundation for the Thai Society due to her significant work in modernizing Thai traditional spa products and techniques into a modern spa culture. Her outstanding work profile is to promote professional Thai traditional massage overseas and to recruit Thai massage spa therapists for overseas employment through Thai Heritage Spa Schools in Bangkok and Chiang Mai.
Sarah was appointed as the Ambassador to Asia of the Latin American Spa Association in May 2006 due to her outstanding commitment and contribution to the Latin American spa industry.
She has been a distinguished speaker in several events major and seminars in countries such as Mexico, India, Bermuda, Macau, Kazakhstan, Korea and Fiji.
With its portfolio of extensive consultant and technical advices to numerous development projects, Thai Heritage Spa was selected, among the other sixteen spa companies, by the Crown Property Bureau of Thailand to create and operate her signature “SIVALAI SPA” in year 2003, a Royal Thai Contemporary conceptual spa, at the Royal Bangkok Sports Club, the Nation’s heritage Club from the King Rama V reign.
Recently, the Diplomat Spa at the Radisson Hotel, created and managed by Sivalai Spa, was voted on of the top five in the Gulf area.
Her career ambition is to create a spa that makes a benchmark in each country. Kazakhstan will be next.
